WPP will not make a pure cash offer for market research group Taylor Nelson
Sofres (TNS), it has emerged ahead of the advertising giant’s put up or shut
up deadline to make a firm bid.

AFP - German market research group Gfk said Wednesday that it was mulling a takeover bid for British peer Taylor Nelson Sofres after the pair ended their plans to merge.

Sir Martin Sorrell will have to bid at least 300p a share - £1.2 billion - for Taylor Nelson Sofres to prevent the proposed £2.2 billion merger between the British market researcher and Germany's GfK, analysts said.
